Die Wehrmacht

Die Wehrmacht was a German military propaganda magazine published from 1936 to 1944 to promote the newly formed Wehrmacht, with the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht serving as its official editor from February 1938 onward. Aimed at young readers, it was priced at just 25 Reichspfennig and illustrated mainly by artist Theo Matejko, with the standard domestic issues printed in black and white, while the foreign-distribution edition (Ausgabe A für Ausland), introduced in 1941, featured color covers, alongside a small number of special edition issues also produced in color. A few variation cover issues were produced as well, and both the standard and Ausgabe A editions ceased publication in September 1944
