In 1938, Die Wehrmacht reset its numbering back to issue number 1. That year featured several variation covers and a few color cover issues, along with another Sonderausgabe with extra pages. A special Sonderheft was also published to commemorate the Anschluss of Austria, featuring two variation covers and extra pages. Additionally, a special edition dedicated to Die Kriegsmarine, the German Navy, was published that year.
