Commanding General’s Foreword

Major General William G. Livesay, Commanding General, 91st Infantry Division
General Livesay’s foreword, dated 15 April 1945, describes this history as “an abbreviated” account of highlights prepared for current Division members and incoming replacements. He commends the veterans’ “implacable will” and “indomitable aggressiveness,” and extends a welcome to replacements, urging them to quickly absorb the Division’s “can do” spirit.
