Description

Vol. 1 No. 46 …. Cover: Zoot Scooter – Sgt. Maurice Tombaugh of Minden, Nebr., is getting a ticket from MP T-5 John Openshaw of Oakland, Calif., because he just let out his midget car to its full 20 miles per hour on an airfield taxi strip. Sgt. Tombaugh, a machinist in civilian life and now with the Jolly Roger bomb outfit, made his car out of an old 100-gallon P-39 belly tank. The motor was salvaged from a damaged air compressor, and its chain-drive wheels and tires from an oxygen cart. The steering wheel is the pilot control from a Liberator. He can run the car all day long on one gallon of gas. ….. Storming the Beach at Wakde Island ……. Articles Inside:
