The Cover – Continuing an idea that made the nation’s newsstands a riot of red, white and blue last Fourth of July, magazine editors again have been asked to use the flag motif as the cover theme on issues current on the Fourth. The flag-shaped design on our cover is, of course, not a flag. Rather it is a symbol, a symbol of achievement on the Westinghouse production lines. A symbol that Westinghouse men and women have done their part to help keep the real flag flying in this country and in every country where men want to be free and dare to be brave. Some 66,000 Westinghouse men and women have earned the right to wear the Army-Navy “E” pins our cover design is made of. To make that unanimous, 103,000, is by no means a goal that can’t be reached. ……. Articles: Westinghouse Newsfront ….. When the War is Won ….. Electronic Team Speeds Up War-Plant Machines …..
