Ein amerikanischer Bomber-Verband versuchte, ein Geleit anzugreifen. Die Bordflak eines U-Jägers schießt aus dem Verband eihen viermotorigen Bomber heraus, der in einer gewaltigen Qualmwolke verschwindet. Kurz darauf fallen seine Einzelteile in die See.

Front Page:  A four-engine plane fell from the sky
An American bomber squadron attempted to attack a convoy. The anti-aircraft guns of a submarine chaser shot out a four-engine bomber from the squadron, which disappeared in a huge cloud of smoke. Shortly afterwards, its individual parts fell into the sea.

American bombers attempt to attack a German convoy. Anti-aircraft fire from an anti-submarine unit shoots down one of the four-engined planes, which, enveloped in a thick cloud of smoke, falls into the sea.
