Großadmiral Dönitz am Heldengedenktag zum deutschen Volk.
Am Heldengedenktag 1944, der dem Andenken der Gefallenen an der Front und in der Heimat gewidmet war, legte der Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine, Großadmiral Dönitz, im Auftrage des Führers einen Kranz im Ehrenmal Unter den Linden nieder.
Von Unteroffizieren der vier Wehrmachtsteile wurde der Kranz des Führers zum Ehrenmal getragen.        

Nel giorno dela commemorazione dei caduti il comandante in capo, grand’ammiraglio Dönitz, ha deposto una corona in nome del Führer sulla tomba degli eroi.

Grand Admiral Dönitz to the German people on Heroes’ Memorial Day.
On Heroes’ Memorial Day 1944, which was dedicated to the memory of those who fell at the front and at home, the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Grand Admiral Dönitz, laid a wreath at the Unter den Linden memorial on behalf of the Führer.
The Führer’s wreath was carried to the memorial by non-commissioned officers from the four branches of the Wehrmacht.

On the day of remembrance for the fallen, Commander-in-Chief Grand Admiral Dönitz laid a wreath in the name of the Führer on the heroes’ grave.
