… ist die Wasserspur des in rasender Fahrt angreifenden Sprengbootes.
Schnurgerade auf das Ziel ist das Einmannboot mit seiner todbringenden Ladung gerichtet 150 Meter vor dem Angriffsobjekt wird sich der Pilot rücklings aus dem Sitz werfen und auf ein Floß retten, das er kurz vor dem Sprung durch einen Hebeldruck ins Wasser abwarf. Vom Floss aus beobachtet er die Wirkung der Sprengladung auf den Gegner — dann wartet er auf die nachfahrenden Rettungsboote, die ihn an Bord holen. Auch mehrere Sturm- und Sprengboote können gegen ein gemeinsames Ziel eingesetzt werden (Unteres Bild).

Front Page:  As deep as a ravine
… is the trail of water left by the explosive boat attacking at breakneck speed.
The one-man boat with its deadly load is aimed straight at the target. 150 meters from the object of attack, the pilot will throw himself backwards out of his seat and save himself on a raft, which he will throw into the water by pressing a lever shortly before the jump. From the raft, he will observe the effect of the explosive charge on the enemy – then he will wait for the rescue boats to come after him and bring him on board. Several assault and explosive boats can also be used against a common target (bottom picture).
