Compiled in 1945 by T/Sgt. Edward L. Scowley and M/Sgt. Robert E. Friel as associate editors, with photographic material by T/5 John W. Post, art work by T/4 William M. Shea, and Capt. Cuth K. Shepherd as consultant, “513th Retrospect” is the official unit history of the 513th Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion, printed in Manila in 1945. It records the battalion’s story from its activation in June 1943 through training in the United States, overseas movement, and combat service in the Philippines up to September 1945.
