This is a Seabees battalion book, “2nd Saga of the 38th NCB” (38th Naval Construction Battalion), commemorating the unit’s WWII-era Pacific deployments — the Aleutians (Adak, Kodiak, Kiska), Oahu, the Marianas (Tinian), and postwar occupation duty in Japan (Sasebo, Kure, Yokosuka).
