Oklahoma A. and M. College in Stillwater
During World War II, Oklahoma A. and M. College in Stillwater (now Oklahoma State University) turned much of its campus over to military training. It hosted an Army Air Forces Technical Training Command detachment that taught enlisted men clerical skills such as typing, military correspondence, and administrative procedures, and it was also home to one of the Navy’s largest training schools for WAVES yeomen.
