Der Soldat zwischen Alpen und Donau was a Wehrmacht troop-morale magazine for soldiers of Wehrkreis VII (the Munich-based military district covering Bavaria), as its masthead states: “Wort- und Bildberichte aus dem VII. Armee-Korps.” Published by the NSDAP’s Zentralverlag, it mixed home-front human interest, unit news, and propaganda aimed at keeping that corps’s troops and their families connected and motivated.
