The purpose in issuing these Bulletins was to give information, consistent with war conditions, about American prisoners of war and the methods for providing aid and comfort to them – paramount responsibilities of the American Red Cross. Each issue consisted of twelve 8-1/2″ x 11″ pages except for the last issue which had 16 pages. ……….. The 16 page Special Supplement Gefangenen ( Prisoners’ ) Gazette is made up of a random selection of articles, drawings and cartoons sent to The Prisoners of War Bulletin from Stalag Luft III’s own paper.
