The Low-Down on the GI Racketeers in Paris ……. Cover: Liberated Locomotive ….. The locomotive being repaired by T-4 Andrew Gayan of Escanaba. Mich., is Old 171, the first engine retaken from the Japs at Dagupan on the Manila Line. Sgt. Dick Hanley, YANK photographer, got this picture just as Gayan, a maintenance man with the 790th Railroad Operating Company, lighted his welding torch.
