Vol. II No. 3 … Two GIs come home from Italy. Cpl Dale Hand of Waterloo, Iowa, and his dog “Booger” look over the rail of the ship which brought them back. The scene is the Staten Island Pier. “Booger” was with the 38th Infantry Scout Dog Platoon, attached, to Cpl Hand’s outfit, the 85th (Custer) Infantry Division.
