Description

Cover: … Rettung fuer tausend Leben ……. Aufnahme: Tschira ………….. Salvation for a thousand lives ……. Preserved life on the front. Severely wounded at the front can often only be saved by rapid blood infusion. Since not enough immediate blood donors for transfusion are available, donated blood from the homeland, has been newly created, recently, in the form of a dry canned serum. This new “Canned Life” is prepared in the laboratory. Wrapped in sterile cloths, the serum is filtered in a sister laboratory, and then filled it in a dry condition in the vials, which are sent to the Front. Photograph by Tschira
