Crane Brinton, the author of this issue of ARMY TALKS, was born in Winstead, Conn., and educated at Harvard and, as a Rhodes scholar, at Oxford University. He has gained an important place among American historians through a series of books on English, French and American history and historical subjects. At present he is in Great Britain.
